We decided that we had to visit at least one of two classic Irish tourist traps: either the Cliffs of Moher or the Blarney Castle. After hearing rumors that locals peed on the Blarney Stone as an act of defiance against tourists, we decided that a boat tour from Inisheer along the Cliffs would be worth the motion sickness. And it was, even though the visibility was not ideal.
Through the fog, the Cliffs of Moher were absolutely breathtaking.
We were lucky in that we had decent visibility from the boat but, when brought to the visitor’s center to view the Cliffs from above, we did not have as much luck.
